Seminar on women’s access to justice held in Tripoli

The Ministry of Justice of the Government of National Accord organized on Sunday, March 08, a seminar on the challenges facing women’s access to justice in Libya.

The United Nations Development Program in Libya helped in the coordination of the seminar.

Judges, prosecutors, lawyers, women police officers and civil society organizations attended the seminar.

The panel discussion was delivered by representatives of the Ministry of Justice and the United Nations Development Program, where they discussed legal and procedural obstacles and challenges facing women in gaining access to justice.

They also discussed ways and means to address the challenges and enhance women’s access to justice in Libya.
