NOC signs agreement with WHO to treat children with cancer in Libya

The National Oil Corporation (NOC), together with its international partners ENI, Repsol and TotalEnergies, signed an agreement with the World Health Organization (WHO) to support treatment services for children with cancer in Libya.
NOC Chairman, Mustafa Sanallah, and the Head of Mission and WHO Representative in Libya Elizabeth Hoff, signed the multi-million agreement in Tripoli on Thursday.
According to the agreement, the National Oil Corporation will donate US$ 5.7 million to WHO to relieve the suffering of children with cancer.
Sanallah said that the agreement aims to support hospitals for children with cancer in Tripoli and Benghazi, stressing support for any humanitarian initiative, especially with regard to health services through the sustainable development department of the NOC.
Hoff said that the World Health Organization will spend this donation to purchase medicines and equipment for seven hospitals that treat children with cancer, to ensure the provision of specialized care to treat 722 children.
