The Attorney General Al-Siddiq Al-Sour said that they had discovered more than 63,000 fake national ID numbers, which do not exist in the civil status system.
In a press conference in Tripoli on Wednesday, Al-Sour added that 23,787 people got the children’s allowance for the months of April, May, and June 2021 and they are not registered in the civil status system.
The Attorney General confirmed that 48,000 national ID numbers have been frozen because they were granted to non-Libyans, promising to set up an investigation into these violations.
Regarding the bakery file, Al-Sour explained that the number of bakeries that were closed during the past four days amounted to 232 bakeries nationwide, including 60 in Tripoli. He said that 601 samples were taken to examine whether potassium bromate was added to bread and flour.
