Libyan Cloud News Agency – Benghazi
Greek Foreign Minister, Nikos Dendias, called on foreign forces and mercenaries to leave Libya as soon as possible, and reiterated his country’s rejection of the Libyan-Turkish maritime agreement.
Dendias said in a press conference in Benghazi after his talks with the Speaker of Parliament, Aqaila Saleh and the Deputy Prime Minister, Hussein Al-Qatrani, that the foreign forces and mercenaries should leave Libya and that the Libyans should decide their fate to ensure the country’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.
The United Nations and western and regional countries have repeatedly demanded the foreign countries that have forces and mercenary forces in Libya to withdraw them quickly, considering their continued presence as a threat to the Libyan sovereignty.
20,000 foreign forces and mercenaries are deployed in western and central Libya, according to the United Nations.
