An armed force prevents municipal elections in Traghen

An armed force has prevented local elections to choose Traghen Municipal Council, which was scheduled to take place on Tuesday, August 25.

A local source told the Libyan Cloud News Agency that the armed force had previously prevented candidates from announcing their electoral programs and holding their election campaigns.

Traghen Municipal Council has been running with two local councils, one belongs to the Libyan Government and the other to the Government of National Accord.

Traghen is a town in southwest Libya.
