A sit-in outside the Libyan Center for Archive and Historical Studies

A number of civil activists held a sit-in outside the Libyan Center for Archive and Historical Studies to show their solidarity with the administration of the center in the face of the administrative and financial problem with the General Authority of Endowments and Islamic Affairs.

The General Authority of Endowments and Islamic Affairs demanded the center to evacuate the headquarters, citing unpaid rental fees.

The activists delivered a statement in which they expressed their full support for the center and its independence, stressing that it is the archive of the homeland and a property for generations.

They held the executive authority responsible for protecting the center and its archive from any damage, demanding an urgent action be taken to resolve the administrative problem without attacking or threatening the center and its employees.
