A patrol of the Middle East Coast Guard rescued 30 migrants, including a child, four women and 25 men. The migrants are from Morocco, Guinea and Bangladesh.
They were on a boat at sea, when a cargo ship (Magellan Qarubas) found them on its way from the Emirates to the Tunisian city of Gabes. The ship got in touch with the Libyan coast guard.
The coast guard took the migrants back to Al-Khums. The migrants were provided medical and paramedic assistance and first aid by the International Medical Authority, later they were handed over to a shelter.
