Members of the Presidential Council held discussions with the Governor of the Central Bank of Libya

Members of the Presidential Council held a meeting with the Governor of the Central Bank of Libya, Seddik Al-Kabeer, in Tripoli on Wednesday.
The attendees discussed many issues related to the bank’s work, and financial developments during the recent period, as well as monetary policy and the performance of the banking and financial sector.
They also discussed completing the mechanisms for unifying the Central Bank of Libya, and the results of the financial audit of the bank’s accounts, which was carried out under the supervision of the United Nations Office for Project Services (UNOPS).
Al-Kabeer gave a briefing on the steps and measures taken by the bank to maintain the financial sustainability of the state, achieve financial and monetary stability, and the measures taken in the field of exchange rate policy and the volume of public spending.
Members of the Presidential Council stressed the need to deal with the results and recommendations of the audit report in a responsible manner, and the importance of holding periodic meetings and consultations with all institutions to assess the financial and economic situation in the country.
