The 81st anniversary of the founding of the Libyan army

A celebration was held in Tripoli on Tuesday to commemorate the 81st anniversary of the founding of the Libyan army.

The Prime Minister of the Government of National Unity Abdul Hamid Al-Dabaiba, Chief of the General Staff, army officers and a number of government ministers and guests attended the celebration.

Al-Dabaiba stressed in a speech that the mission of the army is to preserve and protect the sovereignty of the Libyan state, and that the army was established to bring peace, stressing that Libya will only be a civilian state with a strong army to protect the country.
