120 war prisoners released in Zawiya city

A celebration was held in the city of Zawiya on Wednesday for the release of 120 members of the 107th battalion.

The prisoners were arrested in April 2019 during the war on Tripoli.

The release of the prisoners came at the initiative of Zawiya Reconciliation Committee and Zawiya Security Directorate, in cooperation with the Government of National Unity and the National Reconciliation Committee.

The Deputy Prime Minister of the Government of National Unity, the First Deputy Speaker of Parliament, the President of the High Council of State, a representative of the United Nations, and a number of deputies, ministers, and officials, in addition to families of the prisoners attended the ceremony.
