Journalist Al-Mukhtar Al-Halak released on bail

The journalist Al-Mukhtar Al-Halak was released on bail of 300 Libyan Dinars. He was arrested for more than ten days and before being brought before the primary court in the Al-Ajailat district on Monday.

Al-Mukhtar Ali Al-Halak (born in 1974) works as a journalist for several media outlets. He also worked in the media office of the municipal guard in Al-Ajailat area, south-west of Tripoli. He was arrested on the background of criticisms of the Ministries of Education and Interior in files related to corruption, and accused of leaking security information.
