Walls of ancient Sabratha defaced
Libyan Cloud News Agency – Sabratha
Visitors to the archaeological site of Sabratha have defaced some of the ancient walls with Graffiti.
The unknown visitors wrote down phrases, their names, and the date of their visit on the old walls and columns using sharp instruments or colored sprays.
A number of NGOs and archeologists appealed to the Ministry of Tourism and the Tourist Police to pay attention to this violation and find a mechanism to protect this site.
The archaeological site of Sabratha is located on the Mediterranean coast about 70 km west of Tripoli.
