UNSMIL participated in the meeting of the House of Representatives and the High State Council delegations in Morocco

The United Nations Support Mission in Libya (UNSMIL) took part in the meeting of the House of Representatives (HoR) and the High State Council delegations in Rabat, Morocco, from September 30 to October 01, on the legal framework for December 24 elections.

In a statement, UNSMIL commended the two delegations for the positive atmosphere of the meeting and called on the international community to support the electoral process in Libya based on agreed laws and on the outcomes of the Libyan Political Dialogue Forum.

UNSMIL urged the two delegations to use this opportunity and live up to their historical responsibilities and move forward with completing the legislative framework for elections.
