The United Nations Development Program (UNDP) launched on Sunday the first cash for work initiative in Libya, in partnership with Abu Salim Municipality and the Danish Refugee Council (DRC).
This initiative comes as part of the UNDP efforts to help people affected by the conflict in Libya to obtain temporary employment opportunities.
The initiative will allow targeted people to meet their basic needs, improve the standard of living conditions and contribute to self-reliance for income.
Mayor of Abu Salim Municipality, Abud Al-Rahman Al-Hamadi, told the Libyan Cloud News Agency that this initiative will train 100 young people, adding that the municipality will provide all logistical, technical and administrative support for the initiative.
