The Supreme Commander of the Libyan Army ordered army personnel to seek permission before making media statements or travelling abroad

The Supreme Commander of the Libyan Army, Mohammed Al-Menfi, has warned all army personnel not to appear in media or make statements of a political nature without permission from the Supreme Commander.

Al-Menfi also warned senior army officers from traveling abroad without prior permission.
