The head of the HNEC revealed the plan for the electoral process
Libyan Cloud News Agency – Tripoli
The head of the High National Elections Commission (HNEC), Imad Al-Sayeh, held a press conference on Sunday to announce the commission’s plan to implement the presidential and parliamentary elections.
Al-Sayeh said that consensus cannot be achieved outside the polls, and stability will not be achieved apart from an elected legislative and executive authority that derives its strength from the will of the people.
He announced that the lists of voters registered in the commission’s database will be published in the polling centers as of Monday, October 25, in order to allow the voters to make sure of their names and get their electoral cards.
Al-Sayeh concluded that any one has objections about the two laws for the presidential and parliamentary elections should go to the judiciary and file an appeal, which is the only way to resolve the ongoing disputes about the laws.
