Office of the Civil Society Commission in Tripoli suspends its work

The Office of the Civil Society Commission in Tripoli branch suspended its work pending the outcome of Resolution 1160 issued by the Presidential Council. It stipulates in its first article the formation of a board of directors of the Commission consisting of a president, a deputy and three members.
Article 2 transfers the subordination of the Commission directly to the Council of Ministers. This sparked controversy within the Office Tripoli branch and a number of civil society organizations, institutions and associations that they see as entities of the government and monitoring the performance and pressure on them is not subject to its authority and authority.
An official at the Civil Society Commission said that the decision is hasty and unwise and that it is expected to be reversed before the administrative control body intervenes and its previous instructions on individual council resolutions and the need to be collective and accompanied by minutes of meetings and dates.
