Italian Interior Minister warned of instability in Libya if the elections were not held on time

Italian Interior Minister Luciana Lamorgese joined the warning voices in the Italian government of the consequences of not holding the elections in Libya as scheduled at the end of this year.

Lamorghese said that it’s important for Libya to hold the elections on December 24 next, calling on Europe to partner with Libya to achieve them.

She concluded that if the elections were not held on time, there would be a risk of another phase of dangerous instability.
