Di Maio called for focus on the Libyan elections

The Italian Foreign Minister, Luigi Di Maio, called for the need to focus on the elections, to be held in Libya on December 24, expecting free and fair elections.

Di Maio reiterated his country’s firm commitment to Libya following his recent visit to Tripoli, Benghazi and Tobruk.

“We are working tirelessly and the results are coming,” Di Maio said on his Facebook account, adding that the first goal that was undoubtedly achieved was the birth of a national unity government, which was unthinkable a year ago, as he put it.
