A regional conference on border cooperation between Libya and the Sahel countries held in Tunisia

Member of the Presidential Council, Musa Al-Koni, chaired the regional conference on border cooperation between Libya and the Sahel countries, which was held in Tunisia on Tuesday.

The five African Sahel countries and the European Union representative to the Sahel countries, attended the conference

In his speech, Al-Koni stressed the importance of economic and security integration between Libya and the Sahel countries, with their human resources and capabilities, stressing the need to come up with complementary solutions to cross-border issues.

The conference was organized by the European Union to find ways of regional cooperation with Libya on cross-border issues such as illegal immigration, promoting the use of technology in border security, and combating organized crime.
