The Head of HNEC held a meeting with a group of foreign ambassadors

The Chairman of the High National Elections Commission (HNEC) Imad Al-Sayeh held a meeting in Tripoli on Monday with the foreign ambassadors supporting the HNEC.
The meeting included the Deputy Special Envoy of the United Nations, the Resident Representative of the United Nations Development Program, the ambassador of the European Union, the ambassadors of France, Italy, and the Netherlands, and the Head of the Political Bureau of the British Embassy.
The ambassadors of the United States, andGermany and the chargé d’affaires of Japan also attended the meeting via Zoom.
The meeting was held within the framework of the support and follow-up of the international community and the countries and organizations that provided technical and advisory support to the HNEC to implement the electoral process in Libya.
The participants discussed the role of the international community in support of Libya, the latest arrangements for the electoral process in accordance with the new political developments, and the level of readiness of the HNEC to implement the upcoming elections on December 24.
