The President of the Supreme Council of the Amazigh of Libya said that the celebration of the Amazigh New Year 2973 is a human and cultural heritage.

In a televised address to the Libyan nation, he added that this occasion reminds us of the need to preserve the Libyan national identity at a time when generations face great challenges and Libya faces external attempts to steal its identity, change its culture and sow discord among its people.
