Advocates of monarchy demand activation of the independence constitution

Callers of the Return to the Constitutional Monarchy announced Monday an initiative to get out of the constitutional crisis.

In a press conference held in Tripoli, the advocates of monarchy called all Libyan people and stakeholders to activate the independence constitution.

They affirmed that the constitution of independence is a sacred property of the Libyan nation, and that any proposal to amend it can only be done by activating it first according to its legitimate mechanisms and institutions.

They stressed the legitimacy of the mandate of the Crown Prince Mohammed Al-Hassan Al-Rida Al-Senussi as stated in the text of the royal order issued on 22 November 1956, inviting the prince to take over his duties as the king of the country to bring peace and security to the homeland.
