Libyan Bloggers Network Holds Workshop in Misrata

On Saturday, the Libyan bloggers network organized a workshop on combating the discourse of violence and hatred in Misrata. 22 media professionals, civil society activists and interested parties attended the workshop.

The workshop dealt with the definition of the network of Libyan bloggers, its establishment and objectives, the mechanism of accession and registration, as well as two training sessions on the definition of the speech of violence and hatred, and presentation of examples of hate speech, while the second session discussed how to deal with hate speech and monitor hate speech.

It is noteworthy that the Libyan bloggers network was founded in May (2018).
