UNHCR provided aid to refugees and asylum seekers in Tripoli

Libyan Cloud News Agency – Tripoli

The United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) distributed on Tuesday, May 12, emergency relief assistance for refugees and asylum seekers in Tripoli.

The aid included hygiene kits and a food basket, designed to last for one month.

The distribution was coordinated with Libyan authorities and the Libyan Humanitarian Relief Agency-LIBAID.

Chief of Mission of the UNHCR in Libya, Jean-Paul Cavalieri, told the Libyan Cloud News Agency that the help comes amid worsening conflict and COVID-19 movement restrictions.

He added that the distribution process will also include the cities of Misurata and Alzawia
