The International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking celebrated in Souq Al-Jumaa

The Education Office in the Municipality of Souq Al-Jumaa in Tripoli held a celebration to observe the International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking under the theme “It is time to prevent addiction.”
The program of the celebration included a series of activities, including a football match and some artistic performances by school students, in addition to a plastic art exhibition prepared by the students.
The Director of the Activity Office, Abdul-Ghani Al-Jabrani, told the Libyan Cloud News Agency that this celebration came at the conclusion of the anti-drug awareness campaign that was carried out in cooperation with the Child and Family Office of the General Administration for Drug Control and lasted for more than a month, targeting a group of schools within the municipality.
The Director of the Child and Family Office, Lt. Col. Fatima Muaigel, explained that large quantities of drugs have been seized, the latest of which was seized by the Nalut branch and estimated at a quintal of cannabis drug.
