A planting campaign to mark National Tree Day

The Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock is holding a planting campaign in the regions of Sidi Khaled and Ain Mara in eastern Libya, to mark National Tree Day which falls on the first of January.
The organizers will plant laurel trees in these two areas which were hit by forest fires last summer.
The laurel tree was chosen for the fourth year in a row, as it is in danger of extinction in the Green Mountain regions.
