The National Oil Corporation discussed cooperation with the Spanish oil company Repsol

The Chairman of the National Oil Corporation (NOC), Mustafa Sanallah, held a virtual meeting with senior officials of the Spanish oil company Repsol.
The meeting focused on ways of introducing renewable energy in the Libyan oil sector.
During the meeting, both sides also discussed many important topics that included reducing gas emissions, setting an oil well control center at NOC facilities, Sharara production sustainability and improvements, joint cooperation in developing fields, and corporate social responsibility.
They agreed to hold several workshops with the concerned technical departments at NOC to maintain and increase production, as well as to work on conducting integrity studies to ensure the safety of the assets, especially after the frequent leaks and malfunctions due to the closures of the fields during the last few years.
Repsol confirmed, through social responsibility programs, its participation in supporting the program carried out by the World Health Organization to treat childhood cancer.
