The Customs Authority has reactivated the Electronic Cargo Tracking Note (ECTN) to manage and control shipments to Libya.
A member of the Customs Authority, Anas Ammar, told the Libyan Cloud News Agency that ECTN is a global waiver document issued by an international inspection company working in the field of inspection in most countries of the world to provide advance information about imported goods, such as type, quantity, or source of goods, to combat forgery in documents attached to the customs declaration.
Ammar indicated that shipping agencies in Libya were informed about the new procedure to obtain their addresses at any export port in Dubai, Turkey, European countries, Asian countries, or the Americas.
