The first meeting of the Supreme Council for Local Government held in Tripoli

The first meeting of the Supreme Council for Local Government was launched in Tripoli on Wednesday, in the presence of the Prime Minister of the Government of National Unity Abdul Hamid Al-Dabaiba.

In his speech, Al-Dabaiba urged the mayors of municipalities to provide services to citizens, announcing a financial support for the municipalities with a total value of 500 million Libyan dinars.

He promised to issue a decision to allow municipalities to collect local revenues.

Deputy Prime Ministers, Ministers of Local Government, Finance, Planning, Economy and Trade, Housing and Construction, the Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs, and mayors of municipalities from all regions of Libya attended the meeting.
