The Scout and Guides Movement in Derna commemorated the 65th anniversary of its foundation, in the presence of the movement’s affiliates and a number of the city’s residents.
The movement held a party to mark the occasion which included various activities and art performances.
It is noteworthy that the first Scout and Guides Movement in Libya was established in 1954 under the leadership of Ali Khalifa Al-Zaidi, the founder of the Scout Movement in Libya. It became a member of the World Organization of the Scout Movement in 1958.
