The Presidential Council calls for presidential and parliamentary elections

The head of the Presidential Council of the Government of National Accord, Fayez Al-Sarraj, has instructed the military forces to cease fire immediately and stop all military operations in Libya.

Al-Sarraj called in a statement for the resumption of oil production and export and the deposit of revenues in a special account for the National Oil Corporation at the Libyan Foreign Bank, which would only be used after reaching comprehensive political arrangements in accordance with the outcomes of the Berlin conference.

He also called for presidential and parliamentary elections to be held next March, based on a constitutional basis.
