Greek archaeological sites are prone to neglect

The residents of Bu Sofon area, 40 kilometers west of Benghazi, are complaining about the government indifference to the archaeological sites in the area which date back to the Greek era.

Local resident, Jadallah al-Qadari, said that they had collected some old and historical jars and coins from the sites to protect them from theft.

He called on the responsible authorities to look at these neglected treasures and to restore and protect the archaeological sites.
