Italian military delegation arrives in Tripoli

The Undersecretary of the Ministry of Defense of the Government of National Accord, Salah al-Din al-Namroush, and the Chief of the General Staff of the Libyan Army, Mohammad al-Mahdi, received the Ambassador of Italy, Giuseppe Buccino, and the military delegation accompanying him at the Abu Sitta Naval Base.

The two sides discussed cooperation to qualify the Libyan Coast Guard and the irregular migration and its impact on the stability of the two countries.

The meeting also discussed the efforts made by the Italian support mission (MIASIT), and its contribution to the mine detection teams in the areas that witnessed armed clashes in south Tripoli.
