Medical companies are trying to monopolize face masks

The National Anti-Corruption Commission has revealed that some medical companies and pharmacies are collecting and storing face masks.

It added that the medical companies and pharmacies aim to set the monopoly price to double their profits once the demand for the masks increases.

Some people have started to buy face masks in anticipation of coronavirus outbreaks.

The Commission warned that this type of speculation is classified as a serious crime affecting the country’s national security.

It indicated that it will take all legal measures against those companies and pharmacies in accordance with the legislation in force.
