Workshop on corruption in Libya at Sabha University

A workshop on the administrative and financial corruption in Libya was held at Sabha University on Thursday, December 12.

The workshop was organized by the university’s internal audit office, during which several research papers were presented by specialists at the university.

Professor of economics at the university Hamid Al-Hodairi declared to Libyan Cloud News Agency that the workshop presented several papers on the definition of corruption, its types and how to identify them. 

“We know that Libya is on the list of the most corrupt countries in the world, and I presented a paper on the concept of corruption and how to tackle it, in addition to its political and economic effects”. He said, adding that the corruption hinders the development process and the democratic transition in Libya.
