Libyan coast guard rescued 180 irregular migrants

The Libyan coast guard of the Tripoli area rescued 180 irrregular migrants on Friday. They were taken to the city of Tajoura, 30km east of Tripoli. Eleven children were among the migrants.
Aimen Belal, an officer in the Libyan coast guard, told the Libyan_Cloud_News_Agency that the rescue operation took place off the coast of Subratha city – 70km west Tripoli. Belal added: “In similar situations, we used to ask fisher boats in the area to help us in rescuing these migrants from the sea, because we don’t have enough resources to rescue this amount of migrants.”
In Tajoura, the International Organisation of Migration IOM supported the migrants medically.
