Journalists form a new body under the name of “Union of Journalists and Media Union in Libya”

The journalists adopted the official name of the body that was formed to include them “the Federation of Journalists and Media Workers in Libya” during their recent meeting.

They discussed the conditions and privileges of affiliation to this organization, as well as the code of conduct and signed with their consent. Five people among the founders of the movement were elected to complete the registration procedures of the organization within civil society institutions.

These steps follow the last meeting held in the Prime Minister’s Office with the committee responsible for the media. They reached an agreement on the formation of a body that includes journalists and media professionals, in order to monitor their situation and facilitate their tasks.
