Training workshop on human trafficking and smuggling of migrants

The Arab and International Criminal Police Bureau (Interpol) held three-day workshop on human trafficking and smuggling of migrants in Tripoli. It concluded on Wednesday.

The training workshop targeted staff members of the General Directorate of Coast Security and the Anti-Illegal Immigration Agency. It included working papers and visual presentations on the nature of the work of the Arab and International Criminal Police Bureau, Interpol and the cooperation between it and the departments followed by the trainees. Lectures on the crimes related to the smuggling of migrants and the difference between the crime of trafficking in human beings and the crime of smuggling were part of the training.
