17 ISIS members face death penalty

The Criminal Court of Tripoli has sentenced 17 ISIS members to death for crimes committed in the city of Sabratha.
The Attorney General’s Office reported that 41 ISIS members have been put on trial on charges of armed violence in Sabratha and attempts to change the form of government and basic systems in the country, in addition to undermining rights and freedoms and hindering state institutions and public authorities from exercising their work.
The defendants also killed 53 people and vandalized government headquarters, according to The Attorney General’s Office.
The Criminal Court of Tripoli sentenced 17 ISIS members to death; two members sentenced to life in prison and 14 others were sentenced to years in prison.
