Libyan Foreign Minister meets US Acting Assistant Secretary of State for Near Eastern Affairs

The Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Najla Al-Manqoush, held a meeting with the US Acting Assistant Secretary of State for Near Eastern Affairs, Yael Lambert, on the sidelines of the 31st session of the Arab Summit in Algiers.

The two sides reviewed the political developments in Libya and the efforts to stabilize the country and support a political solution to reach national elections on a constitutional basis and fair and impartial electoral laws.

Lambert stressed the rejection of the military solution in Libya, expressing the United States’ support for holding elections in Libya in stable conditions.
