A group of NGOs demanded the elections be held on time

A group of blocs, entities, unions, federations, parties, and civil society organizations issued a joint statement in Tripoli on Saturday calling for the need to hold the elections on time.

They demanded the House of Representatives and the High Council of State to expatiate the implementation of the road map by issuing the electoral laws for the elections.

They stressed that if the two councils do not implement these demands, they will be bypassed, and that alternatives and solutions will be presented to implement the road map on time.

The statement called on the UN Support Mission in Libya to listen to the people’s demands, urging it to continue its efforts to support the Libyan political dialogue.
