Williams calls for holding the elections on time

The Special Advisor to UN Secretary-General, Stephanie Williams, stressed on Monday the importance of holding elections in Libya on December 24.

During her meeting with the Head of the High National Elections Commission, Williams said that the elections are the only way towards the peaceful transfer of power and establishment of a stable democratic state.

Both sides discussed the latest developments regarding the electoral process, as well as ways to strengthen national efforts to hold the elections on time.
