The Government of National Unity welcomed UNSC resolution on Libya

The Government of National Unity welcomed the resolution of the United Nations Security Council to support the presidential and parliamentary elections on December 24.

The government stressed in a statement on Saturday the need to respect and support the full implementation of the ceasefire agreement, including the withdrawal of all foreign forces and mercenaries from Libya.

It also called for support to the Joint Military Committee (5 + 5).

The government assured that it will put all material and logistical capabilities at the disposal of the High National Elections Commission to ensure that free and fair elections are held on time.
