The establishment of Media Support Unit for the elections

The Director of the Media Support Unit for the elections, Abdel Nasser Khaled, the head of The Independent High Authority for Audiovisual Communication (HAICA), Nuri Al-Najmi, and a member of the Board of Directors of the Libyan Post, Telecommunications and Information Technology Company, Khaled Al-Isawy, held a press conference in Tripoli on Saturday. 

Khaled announced the establishment of the Media Support Unit to support the various media outlets in Libya to cover the elections.

He said that the unit had signed an agreement with HAICA to provide the necessary means, equipment and techniques to run the unit’s work, in addition to conducting training courses for the employees of the unit.

Al-Najmi expressed his happiness with this agreement, describing it as a great challenge for both parties.

He concluded that they are determined to make the path of elections a success in cooperation of media institutions and journalists.
