The Arab League welcomed the selection of the new interim executive authority in Libya.

The League of Arab States praised the successful vote of the Libyan Political Dialogue Forum, which was held in Geneva and resulted in the selection of the new interim executive authority in Libya.
A source at the League’s General Secretariat welcomed the forum’s success in assuming its responsibilities in this positive way, expressing hope for the selection of the Presidential Council headed by Mohammad Younes Menfi, and the formation of the new government headed by Abdul Hamid Mohammed Dbeibah.
The source renewed the Arab League’s support for all national efforts exerted to reach a final and inclusive solution to the Libyan situation.
He called for unifying international and regional positions to back efforts of the UN Support Mission in Libya on its various political, military, constitutional and economic tracks.
