Tarhuna residents to elect a new municipal council

The Central Committee for Local Elections has announced the closure of polling stations for Tarhuna Municipal Council elections.

In a press conference in Tripoli, the spokesman of the committee Bassem Al-Moudi said that 10339 voters cast their ballots in 42 polling stations, which constitute 41% of the total registered voters.

Al-Moudi clarified that the electoral process took place in a safe atmosphere, and that no security breaches were recorded.
