Libya won a legal case against an Indian company
Libyan Cloud News Agency – Tripoli
The Lawsuits Administration of the Supreme Judicial Council has won a legal case lodged by the Indian Simplex Infrastructures Ltd against the state of Libya in a French court, demanding compensation worth 165 million dollars.
Simplex Infrastructures Ltd filed the lawsuit in 2018 claiming that the Libyan state had violated a joint contract signed with India in 2009.
The French court overturned the case on July 07, 2021 because Simplex had failed to pay the arbitration costs, ordering it to pay the expenses of the court proceedings.
