Italian and Qatari Foreign Ministers discuss the Libyan file in Brussels

Italian Foreign Minister Luigi Di Maio held talks with his Qatari counterpart Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani in Brussels on the sidelines of the regular meeting of the EU Foreign Affairs Council.

The two ministers discussed several issues, especially the Afghan and Libyan files.

The Qatari Minister of Foreign Affairs was invited to the meeting of the EU Foreign Affairs Council because of the mediator role that Qatar plays between Western countries and the Taliban government.
