Head of UNSMIL visited Turkey to discuss the Libyan crisis

The Head of the United Nations Support Mission in Libya (UNSMIL), Stephanie Williams, met in Ankara on Friday with Turkish Foreign Minister, Mevlut Cavusoglu, to discuss the latest developments in Libya and the ongoing preparations for the upcoming Libyan Political Dialogue Forum. 

Cavusoglu expressed his country’s welcome to a peaceful and speedy solution to the Libyan crisis through the Libyan Political Dialogue Forum.

Williams expressed her appreciation for Turkey’s support for the UN-facilitated political process to find a final solution to the Libyan crisis.
